Z-SYSTEM (Zero Clearance Wood Heater)
The inbuilt fireplace solution you've been looking for without a fireplace!
The market leading Z-System is Clean Air's patented method of installing an inbuilt fireplace when you want the look but not the expense of a conventional fireplace and chimney. Clean Air were the first to introduce a Zero-Clearance slow combustion wood heater in Australia, and still lead the way with the innovative one piece unit - no extra metal boxes required.
The Z-System is simple and inexpensive to install -no bricks and mortar - and can even be fitted directly onto a timber floor using the appropriate floor plate. No major structural alterations are required, only a simple timber frame and Villaboard surround, and a coat of paint. Any medium or large Fireplace Insert, be it a standard, Victorian or Edwardian model, is available as a Zero-Clearance Z-System.
To compliment the elegant look of the Z-Sytem, Clean Air has a selection of mantelpieces to suit any taste, from period style to a more modern look.
The Z-System, Zero Clearance unit is a highly efficient, high performance fireplace solution that will add real comfort and tremendous value to your home. |

Firebox Heat Exchanger and Quad Burn System for Cleaner, Longer Burns
Clean Air's patented firebox design guarantees a longer, cleaner heat; longer burn times nd lower emissions than ever before. The quad burn, heat exchanger tubes and removes stainless steel baffle are all part of the unique design that go towards making Clean Air Woodheaters leaders in design excellence.
The secret is in the heat exchanger system, which enhances natural airflow and creates cleaner and more efficient heat, using less fuel. The stainless steel baffle holds the gases within the firebox and the quad burn system brings in more air, igniting the gases and enabling their total burn. What this means is a significant reduction in emissions from the wood heater. All Clean Air wood heaters are well below the Australian Standard of allowable emissions, with increased efficiency and heat output.
The Clean Air exclusive Venturi System allows continuous airflow around the wood heater even when the fan is not operating. This is a great advantage for extra long, overnight burns.
The three speed fan, standard in all Clean Air wood heaters, is a design advantage that directs air over the top of the ribbed firebox increasing heat output and, in the medium and large units, also directs air though the heat exchanger system.

The flat, self cleaning glass door is a design feature of Clean Air wood heaters that adds appeal and minimizes glass replacement costs. The hot air wash over the glass is designed to keep the glass clean under normal operating conditions. When the wood heater is closed down for the low burn the airflow is also reduced over the glass. Only burn dry, seasoned wood and maintain a brightly burning fire to ensure a cleaner burn and a clearer, glass door.
If your heater develops its heat in 'peaks and troughs' this can be uncomfortable. The following graph demonstrates how Clean Air wood heaters provide more even heating cycles with longer burn times and a cleaner burn, offering a more constant temperature.
This means less loading of fuel and more time to enjoy the sheer pleasure of owning a quality wood fire.
The firebox with a difference - more steel, more ribbing, greater efficiency, longer burn times and lower emissions. - Clean Air wood heaters are the perfect choice for energy efficient home heating.
